No need to dream of a white Xmas

Canada will be covered in the cold white stuff from coast to coast
Panama Star VANCOUVER. Winter walloped Vancouver on the official start of the snowy season Sunday and it was the same story across Canada, as the world’s second biggest country approaches its first coast-to-coast white Christmas in almost four decades.
Heavy snow falls blanketed cities across the country from Vancouver in the west to St Johns’s Newfoundland in the east. In the Lake Louise Ski Area, near Calgary the -35 temperatures forced the closing of ski lifts.
Vancouver had its coldest day, -15.2 since the late 1960s.
Planes were grounded in many areas and passengers forced to stay overnight at airports.
The town of Watson Lake in Yukon was the coldest place in Canada with a low of -45C.
