Canada and Panama FTA

Panama Star Ottawa. The first round of negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and Panama are taking place in Ottawa. Over the last six months the two countries have been discussing the creation of a treaty to lower tariffs. Panama wants to export fruits and vegetables, while Canada will sell technology to Panamanian local businesses.
